Bright House Connection Regional International Long Distance Plans

  1. What are the Bright House Connection (BC) Regional ILD Plans? 
  2. What regions are covered by these plans? 
  3. Can I use the BC Regional ILD Plans with the Unlimited Florida plan? 
  4. Can the BC Regional ILD Plans be used on a second line?

  1. What are the Bright House Connection (BC) Regional ILD Plans?

    The five regional ILD Calling Plans will provide customers with an allotted 100 minutes to call anywhere to any landline phone and some mobile phones in one of five regions for a minimal fee of $5.00 or $10.00, depending on the region.

  2. What regions are covered by these plans?

    $5.00/$0.05 plans = 3 plans: Mexico, Western Europe and Asia-Pacific
    $10.00/$0.10 plans = 2 plans: Latin America and South Asia

  3. Can I use the BC Regional ILD Plans with the Unlimited Florida plan?

    No.  The BC Regional ILD Plans are only available for use with our Unlimited Nationwide calling plan.

  4. Can the BC Regional ILD Plans be used on a second line?

    Yes.  The BC Regional ILD Plans are available on either or both a primary and secondary line as long as the line(s) with the BC Regional ILD Plan also has (have) our Unlimited Nationwide calling plan.

  5. If I have two lines, can both lines share the same 100 minutes and discounted rate for minutes over 100 if only one line has the BC Regional ILD Plan?

    No.  The BC Regional ILD Plans can only be purchased on a per-line basis.  If the BC Regional ILD Plan is purchased for one line and not the other, international calls from the phone line that does not have the BC Regional ILD Plan will be charged at standard rates and will not count against the 100 minutes.

  6. Can I subscribe to multiple BC Regional ILD plans on the same phone line (i.e., Latin America and Mexico or Asia-Pacific and Western Europe?)

    No.  Only one BC Regional ILD calling plan can be added per phone line.

  7. Can I subscribe to multiple BC Regional ILD calling plans on the different phone lines (i.e., Bright House Connection Latin America on the primary line and Bright House Connection Mi Mexico on a second line)?

    Yes.  Both lines can have separate BC Regional ILD packages as long as both lines have the Nationwide calling plan.

  8. What if I make more calls than my allotted 100 minutes that are provided with the plan?

    If you exceed the allotted 100 minutes to landline (and mobile depending on the country) phones that are provided with the calling plan, you will be charged either $0.05 or $0.10 per minute depending on the plan.

  9. Are calls to mobile phones included in the plan?

    No for calls to mobile phones in most countries.  Yes for calls to mobile phones and landline phones in 9 specific countries in some plans.

  10. If I have a BC Regional ILD plan, can I still call countries not covered by the plan?

    Yes.  Calls made to other countries not covered by your BC Regional ILD plan are billed at standard rates for each country.

  11. Can I roll over any of the unused 100 minutes to the next month?

    No.  The unused minutes will not be rolled over to the following month.

  12. Where can I find a balance for minutes that I have used this month?

    You can view your total minutes used balance by logging on to your account at cfl.mybrighthouse.com > Home Phone > Home Phone Statement.

  13. Are the first and last month’s fee and minutes prorated based on the days in the customer’s billing cycle?

    Yes.  The $5.00/$10.00 fee and the included 100 minutes are prorated in the first and last month’s bill based on the number of days in the month the customer is on the plan divided by the total number of days in the billing month (based on bill cycle).
