1. What is PowerBoost? 

PowerBoost is a new technology that allows Road Runner Turbo customers to temporarily experience download speeds that are significantly faster than our already fast High Speed Internet speeds - up to 22 Mbps.

2. How much does PowerBoost cost? 

PowerBoost is free!  When PowerBoost is available, it is automatically activated at no additional charge for all Road Runner Turbo customers.

3. Will PowerBoost make every large download twice as fast? 

When extra bandwidth is available on Bright House Networks local fiber-hybrid network, a customer will experience faster speeds for downloads.  Speeds will be boosted up to 50% faster for Road Runner Turbo customers.

4. Will PowerBoost be available to non-Turbo customers? 

No, but when a Lite or Standard customer upgrades to Road Runner Turbo service, he or she will automatically receive PowerBoosts at no additional charge. .

5. How many PowerBoosts can a customer get in a day, week or month? 

Customers are not limited to a certain number of PowerBoosts.  PowerBoosts will be granted as often as the network bandwidth allows.

6. How long does each PowerBoost last? 

Each PowerBoost lasts up to several seconds.  Basically, a PowerBoost will jumpstart a large file download and automatically reduce the overall download time.

7. How will customers know that they have experienced a PowerBoost? 

There are no on-screen indicators when a PowerBoost is taking place.  But customers should notice a shorter download time when downloading a large file, such as software, games, music, and photos.

8. Is PowerBoost available to multiple computers within the house (via home networking)? 

Yes, PowerBoost is available to multiple computers networked in the home.

9. Are all cable modems capable of receiving PowerBoosts? 

The PowerBoost technology works with any Cable Modem, MTA, and/or Home Networking Gateway with customers that subscribe to the Road Runner Turbo level of service.

10. What if I am not sure if I’m getting PowerBoost? 

If you're a Road Runner Turbo customer – Simply reset your modem by unplugging it for 60 seconds, then plug it back in. If you are also a Bright House Networks Digital Phone customer, press the pin-reset button on the back of your modem and give the modem a few minutes to reboot.
